Overview

1. This type of hydride generator is a flow injection type and must be used in conjunction with an atomic absorption spectrophotometer (host) to determine arsenic, selenium, antimony, bismuth, lead, tin, tellurium and cold in the sample by hydride atomic absorption method. Using carrier gas pressure and electronic components as automation energy, press the start button to automatically quantitatively inhale 3 solutions (potassium borohydride, sample, carrier liquid), and send out a reading signal after filling, and carry the carrier liquid with the sample solution It starts to flow steadily with the potassium borohydride solution, reacts after the confluence, the product is carried by the carrier gas into the gas-liquid separation tube, the mixed gas enters the electric heating quartz absorption tube atomizer for atomization absorption, the waste liquid is automatically discharged, and the original suction host The software is set to “peak height” (or peak area) reading, and the integration time is 15~40s (the reading time required to be set varies according to the atomic absorption spectrometer of different manufacturers).

3 The excellent features of this series of generators:

4. Preparation of atomic absorption spectrophotometer (host)

4.1. Open the atomic absorption host according to the atomic absorption manufacturer’s instruction manual.

4.2. Light source: install hollow cathode lamps according to the elements to be measured, generally use ordinary hollow cathode lamps (2 electrodes), if the energy is weak, it is recommended to use high performance hollow cathode lamps (3 electrodes), which are available in our company, which can increase the intensity, Improve sensitivity, stability, and reduce interference from adjacent spectral lines.

4.3. Spectral passband width: 0.4nm for ordinary lamps, and can be increased to 1-2nm for high-performance lamps (still high sensitivity and many times higher intensity).

4.4. Reading method (please refer to the instruction manual of atomic absorption host).

(1) Peak height method – automatic online, or you can manually press the reading key of the main unit after the reading whistle, set the integration time to 15-20 seconds, or visually read the maximum value or use the record to discuss.

(2) Peak area method – set the delay reading time for 3 seconds, integrate 5-8 seconds, after the whistle sound, press the reading key to start delaying and reading.

(3) Continuous method (for our company’s hydride generator, this method is not recommended) – the main unit sets the delay reading time, and adjusts the delay reading time to the maximum absorption time of about 4-8 seconds (refer to the schematic diagram of the absorption curve, see the test diagram Check the record), after the whistle stops, press the reading key of the main unit to start timing, when the time is up, the instantaneous reading or integral reading, (integration time 1-3 seconds). If the main unit does not have a delayed reading function, the breathing tube can be marked with the water surface falling to the mark line where the maximum absorption occurs, and the instantaneous reading or integral reading when the water surface drops to this mark line. The integration time can also be set to 0.5 seconds, and the number of consecutive readings can be set to 30. After the whistle sounds, press the reading key to start reading. After completion, take the maximum reading among the 30 times.

4.5. Zero point adjustment: The host with peak height method reading can usually automatically adjust the zero immediately after pressing the reading key. 2 seconds), and then press the reading key, if there is no automatic zero adjustment function or the zero adjustment time is longer than 5 seconds, it can only be manually adjusted to zero. You can press the zero adjustment key after pressing the start key. Adjust once 3-5 times, or adjust to zero when the baseline drift is not at zero.

4.6 Adjustment of the position of the electric heating quartz absorption tube: before installing the absorption tube, adjust the position of the lamp to obtain the best energy. After inserting the absorption tube insert into the combustion seam, adjust the up and down, front and rear and angle of the burner to reduce the energy loss to The lowest, so that the energy can pass through the absorption tube to the maximum extent.

4.7 After the quartz tube is installed, the energy will be lost. After the quartz tube is energized and the nitrogen is turned on, the lamp energy of the atomic absorption host will change. After all the preparations are completed, the lamp energy should be checked and adjusted to meet the working requirements.

5. Generator working conditions

5.1 Air source – the output pressure of the pressure regulator is 0.25MPa (already set), please use the cylinder pressure reducer equipped with it. When using, turn on the main switch of the cylinder first, and then turn on the output switch (blue or black). The cylinder gas supply should be turned off when it is not in use.

5.2 The temperature of the electric heating quartz absorption tube – the temperature of the electric heating quartz absorption tube is controlled by the supply voltage. The atomization temperature of most hydride elements is about 900 degrees (orange-red light). This type of hydride generator uses a voltage of 100-120V. Yes, it can be adjusted through the voltage (temperature) adjustment button on the back of the generator. The voltage of the quartz tube dedicated to the Zeeman type host should be adjusted within the range of 50-100V, and the PE type and GBC type directly use 220V voltage (the sensitivity is slightly lower). The same absorption tube is still used for the determination of mercury, but it is not heated by electricity (the host needs to be electrified).

5.3 The flow rate of carrier gas – it can be preferably between 150-300ml/min, generally 200ml/min.

5.4 Room temperature – the minimum room temperature should be above 15℃, the higher the room temperature, the higher the sensitivity, and vice versa.

5.5 The lower port of the waste liquid pipe must be above the water surface, no water seal is required, and the pipeline must be smooth.

5.6 All hydride elements must pay attention to the valence state of the element in the determination process. If the valence state does not match, the sensitivity will be low or the sensitivity will be very low.

5.7 In the determination process of all hydride elements, the acidity is very important, and the acidity difference will have a great impact on the sensitivity and stability.
